There is usual a source of the visual information as well as larger ways I think about that visual source and how it relates to society and me personally. Then there is always the elements that make up the painting physically. <br/> Usually as I paint I write a number of multi part phrases like this that help focus and inform me as I work through an idea. As I stated previously, I think the process of production with its many layers and transformations is a valuable experience in which to educate your audience and bring them into your specific artistic way of thinking. That’s why I include many process photos indiscriminate of how I feel about the painting visually.
